Advanced 3D Guided Dental Implants in Westchester
A missing tooth impacts more than just your smile—it changes how you chew, how you speak, and how your jaw preserves its natural bone structure over time. If you are looking for a permanent, secure replacement that looks and functions exactly like a natural tooth, dental implants are the gold standard.
At Dental Solutions LA, we do not rely on guesswork or traditional “blind” placement. We treat dental implants as a discipline of absolute digital precision.
The Digital Precision Difference
Because every jaw structure is entirely unique, Dr. Michael Capio utilizes a fully integrated digital workflow to plan your surgery before you ever sit in the chair:
-
3D Digital Diagnostics: We skip the goopy impressions and capture your exact bone volume and nerve pathways using advanced digital scanning.
-
Computer-Guided Architecture: Using specialized Blue Sky Plan software, we design a virtual model of your jaw to position the implant with sub-millimeter accuracy.
-
Faster, Less Invasive Healing: Because the placement is mathematically mapped out beforehand, the clinical procedure is highly predictable, minimally invasive, and results in significantly faster recovery times.
Why Choose Dr. Capio for Your Implant Care?
Implants require a deep understanding of both surgical placement and restorative mechanics. As a former Clinical Faculty member at the UCLA School of Dentistry and an AGD Master (MAGD), Dr. Capio handles the entire implant process in-house at our 8501 Lincoln Blvd office. From digital architecture to the final porcelain crown, your care is managed by a single expert.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are artificial teeth that Dr. Capio inserts into your mouth which look and function as normal teeth. They’re made up of three parts: the implant, abutment, and crown.
The implant is a titanium post that Dr. Capio places through the gum into the bone. He then places an abutment on top of the implant to hold the crown in place.
A dental implant can anchor a single tooth, multiple teeth, or hold a bridge in place. Implants are incredibly durable, make it easier to eat normally, and they look and function just like your normal teeth.
First, Dr. Capio explains your options, and together you decide if dental implants are right for you. He then creates an individualized treatment plan for your implant. He uses computer-guided placement for implants, which allows him to place the tooth with even more precision than the human hand, making the entire procedure safer.
At your first visit, Dr. Capio surgically installs a small titanium post in the jawbone. Over the next three to six months, the jawbone heals around the implant. He then makes a digital impression of the missing tooth, and from this, a perfectly-matched tooth is created that fits into your smile.
During your next visit, Dr. Capio attaches an abutment the implant’s post. He then attaches the crown — your new tooth — to the abutment and holds it in place so you can enjoy the return of a full set of teeth. Most patients report minimal discomfort during the procedure. Afterward, Dr. Capio may suggest you take an over-the-counter pain medication such as Tylenol® to deal with mild soreness.
Dental implants require the same care as regular teeth. To take care of them, you still need to brush at least twice a day, floss daily and use an antibacterial mouthwash.
Most importantly, you should maintain your dental care schedule. Having dental checkups twice a year is vital to maintaining healthy teeth and gums. Together, you and your dental team can work to keep your smile healthy.
